Finished Corner Frames with Stanhope Framers
Stanhope Framers has been “Experts in the Art and Craft of Fine Picture Framing Since 1972”. They offer museum quality handmade picture frames and expert framing services to a wide variety of local and national clients. For over 50 years, Stanhope has stood by its mission to preserve and present fine art in hand-made, hand-finished hardwood splined frames, the way framing is meant to be crafted.
Their extensive collection of hand-finished hardwood frames is custom-made and finished by expert artisans in their workshop in Union Square, Somerville, MA.

SmallCorp has been a supplier of Stanhope Framers’ finished corner welded metal frames for nearly as long as Stanhope has been in business. Our finished corner metal frames provide the same level of quality that Stanhope Framers is committed to providing their clients.
We asked Stanhope Framing’s owners, Jamie and Matt, if they would be willing to demonstrate the ease of using finished corner frames, particularly SmallCorp’s aluminum frames. So on a very hot summer day, Jamie, Matt, and their team demonstrated framing using one of our TIG frames and one of our TF floater frames.
Benefits of finished corner frames:
- Because the frames are welded, the corners are seamless with no visible cut-and-join molding seam.
- Superior strength and durability, the closed corners provide an extra level of rigidity for protecting your artwork.
- High-End finish presenting a polished presentation (and we aren’t just talking about our polished face finish).
- Aluminum frames offer an additional level of archival protection as they are naturally inert and won’t change with humidity.
- Finished corner frames require less fussing during assembly. Just insert the art package and secure it using the required hardware.
